Owner Pose
Natalya Natalya is sitting at the back table of the pub watching people come and go warily. Her bottle of tequila sits on the table and is about half full now. In the shadow her shotgun sits on her lap, unseen because of the table unless someone had a flashlight or came close enough to look. Nobody has done that since the tequila was brought, the woman didn't really seem approachable to most.
Ares Buchanan Most wasn't Ares Buchanan, who happens to walk in and look around. After a moment or two of searching he looks disappointed, but then his eyes fall on Natalya and he cracks a smile. The southerner heads on over to where she's sitting and lifts his hand in a small wave. "Hey there, this seat taken?"
Natalya Natalya gazes up and sees Ares, a small smile appearing on her lips. She pushes out a chair with one of her feet and nods towards it. She shifts in her seat and after a moment she signs to him. 'Seat isn't taken, nobody will come around me right now.' She looks quite pleased about this, honestly, and after a moment she adds. 'Some asshole sent a hit to my hotel room.'
Ares Buchanan Ares' pleased expression falls and he takes the seat across from Natalya, elbows propped up onto the table. "Do you know who ordered it?" He reaches across the table to give her hand a brief squeeze, releasing it so she can sign.
Natalya 'Just a hunch, mostly based on how he was dressed. It was a pro.' Natalya signs, a sour look on her face. She pours a shot of tequila and one shoulder jerks up in a shrug. 'Can't go back to the hotel.' She signs after she takes the shot, a frown on her face. 'Can't leave a dead guy in a room and expect to get another.' She leans over, emitting a wheezy laugh after she signs about the body and then sighs, shaking her head.
Ares Buchanan "Damn, guess you're gonna have to share a room with me. It's nothing fancy, they made sure to get the cheapest place they could." Ares shoots Natalya a wink. "For the most part they just have me hold the fort down anyway, not sending me out on any actual ops."
Natalya Natalya offers Ares a wan smile and she nods slowly. Her hands come up and she seems to hesitate before she signs this time. 'Are you sure, because there is a good chance someone else is gonna be looking for me now.' She looks frustrated and maybe a little afraid, her shoulders hunched as she waits for Ares to tell her that he doesn't need her kind of trouble.
Ares Buchanan "Well, I reckon they'd be mighty stupid to try anything with us, yeah?" Ares reassures Natalya with a slight wave of his hand. "Worst case scenario I've gotta beat some sense into some asshole. I ain't too worried about it." He flashes her a grin, not looking worried in the slightest.
Natalya Natalya gets out of the chair and without much preamble she throws her arms around Ares neck. She hugs him for a few minutes and then when she pulls back she looks a bit embarassed. 'Sorry.' She signs, wrinkling her nose a bit. 'I'm used to shit like this, but..usually I have some distance on someone when I shoot them, this guy was right up in my face..so to speak.'
Ares Buchanan Ares wraps his arms around Natalya's waist, not minding the hug. "It's fine. Suppose we'll have to stick together when we can, that way I can handle the assholes that want to get too close." He lowers his hands to her waist for a moment, before letting her go.
Natalya Natalya settles back into her seat and pulls her feet up, pouring out another shot of tequila. She glances at Ares and gestures to the second shotglass, one eyebrow quirked slightly. She takes her shot while she waits to see if he wants one, sighing as the alcohol goes down.
Ares Buchanan Ares takes the other shotglass and pours himself a shot. He raises it before downing it the same time as Natalya. Then he suddenly rises to his feet, moving around so he can sit next to the woman. He wraps an arm around her waist, "I'm glad you're alright, by the way. Hate to lose a good drinking buddy."
Natalya Natalya grins over at Ares and after some thought she holds up her hands to sign, 'I like to think I'm pretty hard to take down.' She says, glancing at her lap where the shotgun is resting. 'It's always good to have someone watching your back though, and I haven't had that for a while now.' She leans softly against Ares and rests her hands back on her shotgun, her eyes on the bar.
Ares Buchanan "Being tough is ah good quality." Ares says, pouring himself another shot with his free hand before taking it easily. The glass gets sat back onto the table and his attention moves to the bar as well.
Natalya 'I know that I don't always do nice things, I mean, shit..I get paid and I shoot people.' Natalya signs, looking a little unsettled. 'I just didn't figure anyone knew I was operating down here yet. They must have some good intel.' She drops her hands and after a few moments she gets slowly to her feet, gathering up her gear and her duffel bag. 'I could really use a shower, if that's an option.' She offers Ares a smile and shifts on her feet.
Ares Buchanan "Of course it is." Ares pushes up onto his feet. "Let's get you settled in, yeah?" He offers Natalya a smile, collects her bottle, then leads the way out.
