Jill Valentine It had been a few days since the extraction from Raccoon City and the Federal Government had announced its intents to purge the Outbreak from Raccoon City, announcing that it would do everything in its power to rescue everyone still within the quarantine zone.

That wasn't a concern of Jill though. She had been quarantined herself for several days after her rescue by Chris, the T-Vaccine not taking immediate effect like it should have.

She had not regained consciousness until recently where she had been moved into a regular room at the hospital after doctors from WilPharma had confirmed that all traces of the virus had been eradicated from her system.

Chris had been alerted almost immediately and when he arrived Jill, was laying in the hospital bed; still looking rather pale as she watched the news, where little mention of Raccoon City was to be found at all.
Chris Redfield When the phone call came from the hospital that Jill was awake, Chris made it over to the hospital as fast as he could. After he got back from Raccoon City, he was put in isolation as a precaution and they put him through a battery of medical tests but soon released him after showing no signs of any infection. He spent the last few days, going to numerous debriefings and visiting the hospital where Jill was to get updates.

Chris opens the door just slightly, peering in first to make sure you are awake, before stepping in and he has one of his hand behind his back. "Valentine. Good to see you awake. How are you feeling?" he says in that same tone he always uses when he's teasing a bit by calling you by your surname, but he's having trouble hiding a warm smile behind that facade of his.
Jill Valentine Jill pressed the button on the remote and began to sit up a little in the hospital bed when she saw Chris enter, smiling despite the lack of one on Chris' features; something she was used to after working with him the past few years, "Like, shit. I'm alive though and they tell me all traces of the virus are gone. I owe you my life Chris."
Chris Redfield "Nah...you don't owe me anything. You've saved my bacon more than a few times. If anything, lets just call it even. Besides that's what partners do." Chris replies in a matter of factly tone as he steps into the room, walking up towards your bed and removes his hand from behind his back. "Just wanted to give you something to brighten the room, when you woke up."^=

A glass vase with a half dozen blue Morning Glory Flowers is placed on your bedside table. "Oh and I got you some magazines for you to read if you got bored." Chris puts a few current additions of Guns and Ammo magazine, beside the vase. He looks then takes a quick peek at your medical chart and then glances up at you, "So you hungry? Want a coffee or anything?"
Jill Valentine Jill rolled her eyes a little at the response from Chris, shaking her head back and forth against the pillow, "They're lovely, thank you Chris." She looked to the magazines and laughed, "The magazines are nice to."

"Don't think I could stomach a coffee even if I wanted one." Jill bit her lower lip before addressing the elephant in the room and asking, "Have you heard anything about Claire?"
Chris Redfield Chris Redfield nods, when you thank him for the flowers and magazines. "Your welcome." His lips curl up slightly when he see's you laughing but then when you ask about Claire, he falls silent and stares out the window for a few moments.

After several long moments, he finally answers. "No." Chris walks away from the bed towards the window, then stretches out his arms, putting both of his hands up to lean against the wall as if he stares at something outside. "They won't let me back in and...they're going to send in evac teams to get as many survivors out as they can."

He doesn't turn around to look at you and you see his hands clenching into fists. "Did you have any contact with Claire? Know where she may be?" His voice is strained, most people wouldn't have picked up on it but you do.
Jill Valentine Jill looked away towards the window of the hospital room and frowned a little, "No, I never saw her or heard about her. It was too messed up in there, I never even saw Barry, or most of the others. They had left the Precinct when I got there, it was just me." Looking back over to Chris she forced a smile, "I'm sorry Chris, if I could have found Claire I would have but I could barely take care of myself while I tried to find a way out."

Chris' cell phone begin to ring, his caller ID identified it as Zima Kimbale, when he answers, the man sounds a mixture of excited and concerned, "Chris. They've found your sister, and I've got authorization for you to move in with the extraction teams. Can you be ready in ten minutes? I'm coming to pick you up myself."
Chris Redfield Chris punches the wall with his fist, causing the window to shake but thankfully he pulled his punch at the last second to avoid breaking any bones or put a dent in the drywall. "Sorry." Redfield replies, turning around to face you now and crosses his arms, his face showing his frustrations.

"It's okay. I'm not blaming you. I just..." His cell phone suddenly rings, he answers it and listens to the voice on the other end. "What!? Yes, I'll be ready and thanks my friend. I'll be downstairs waiting in front. See you soon." Chris hangs up the phone, looking at it with a stunned expression and then turns his blue eyes towards your's. "They found Claire. I have to go. I'll be back to fill you in on everything." He walks over to your bed, the look of frustation is gone now replaced by the old Chris poker face now, the one that you've seen before all his missions. "Rest up."

He offers no promises this time around though as he reaches over with one hand to give your shoulder a gentle squeeze.
Jill Valentine Jill reached up to put her hand over Chris' and smiled, lips parted like she wanted to say something, "Chris..." Instead of continuing she removed her hand and pulled away from Chris leaning over to the other side of the bed where her backpack was. While the military had her holsters, with her Samurai Edge in it; which she hoped would be given back...

...her backpack had the backup Samurai Edge she had taken from the armory some time ago in case of emergency. Reaching in she pulled the Edge out of the backpack and handed it to Chris, "Here. You're going to need this, since you lost yours, and all."

When Chris has the gun she shoos him away, "Good luck and make sure to come back in one piece."
Chris Redfield Chris Redfield closes his eyes only for half a milisecond when you put your hand over his but his poker face of neutrality remains. When you open you backpack and give him your backup Samurai Edge, he nods and offers just the faintest of smiles when you mention that he lost his. "Barry's going to kill me, when he finds out. Thanks."

Redfield, holds the gun in his hand, out of habit he checks to make sure the safety is on, then pops the magazine out for ammo count, then slaps the mag back into the receiver with a resounding click. "I'll bring this back." Is as close to a promise as Chris give's considering the circumstances. He's either going to rescue Claire or die trying if you know your partner.

He tucks the Samurai Edge into the back of his jeans, hiding it underneath his brown leather jacket and walks towards the door of the hospital to go meet Zima downstiars.
Jill Valentine When Chris leaves, he finds Zima Kimbale waiting for him downstairs in a sleek sportscar and as the pair drive to the military base he explains, "Christopher, the President is going to be there himself. I thought I should warn you, it turns out, the helicopter and team we requisitioned were meant for another purpose. He expects something of you, I suggest you follow his instructions."

Speeding through every red light there was with a police escort, the pair arrived at the base. Thankfully Zima had brought his gear along for him, letting Chris prepare on the way.

Pulling up onto the air strip, Chris could see a small fleet of chinook choppers being prepared for launch but away from the group were a pair of apache helicopters and a Blackhawk that a small delegation was gathered outside of.

Zima got out of the car and remained by the door as a team of Special Forces began to board the helicopter and President Graham walked towards Chris with a stern expression. He extended a hand to Chris and said, "Chris Redfield. You're the only man to go in there and come out alive. My daughter is with your sister, the only reason you've been authorized to return is because I expect you to make sure my daughter is on that helicopter. What you do after that, is up to you."
Chris Redfield Chris Redfield gets into the waiting sports car of his friend from the UN and nods as he listens to him speak about the President. "Thanks Zima. I owe you one." is all he says in reply, then buckles his seatbelt and looks up at the floor of the Hospital where Jill is staying as the car speeds off.

When Chris arrives at the airport with Zima, he watches as the Special Forces personnel get ready and turns to greet the President.

Chris takes the President's hand and gives it a firm handshake, then looks the Commander in Chief in the eyes. "Mr. President. It's an honor. Yes, Mr. President, I understand the mission. Thank you for the opportunity." He doesn't have to tell him that after he's saved his daughter, he's going after Claire. The President is sure to have been briefed on everything and he's got his mind on other things right now, focused on the mission and that's just the way he's wired.

"If there's anything else Mr. President? I'd like to get geared up and on my way." Redfield says to him in a polite matter of factly tone, then glances towards Zima and the Special Ops Team.
Jill Valentine "No, that's everything Mister Redfield." The President released his grip on Chris' hand and stepped away to watch the chopper depart with a Special Forces team. Chris could see the Chinook Transports were loading up but they wouldn't be ready for some time still if his experience with aircraft had taught him anything, they were still being fueled.
